Membership Specialist

Location: Muskegon Service Center
Position Summary: The Membership Specialist develops and implements recruitment plans for volunteers and girls across all pathways. She/he provides volunteers with appropriate resources and assistance, including distributing and explaining written materials, assisting new leaders in acquiring leadership training, providing assistance in the troop registration process, and monitoring troop progress. Working closely with and supporting the Community Cultivation Manager, targets new areas for volunteer recruitment. She/he develops, designs and implements innovative recruitment approaches, including developing relationships and opportunities among institutions and individuals to identify and cultivate potential volunteers. She/he also conducts public awareness and information activities related to volunteer and girl recruitment. Learn more here

 

Camp Kitchen Supervisor

Responsible for accurate and efficient management of the food portion of camp. Assist with all phases of camp life to maintain a well organized and safe environment to ensure the best quality of programs and camp experience for campers and staff. She/he coordinates with Head Cook to make accommodations for campers or staff with dietary restrictions or allergies. 2013 Summer Resident Camp Positions

Camp Director, 25+- Salary $500 weekly, 15 weeks
The Camp Director is responsible for directing the execution of all resident and/or day-camp activities 
and operations related to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience program delivery for the Camp Pathway 
and outdoor program. She/he identifies, directs, and supervises all camp program activities. 
Responsibilities include development, organization, implementation and management of the camp 
program operations, systems, and processes.

Assistant Camp Director, 25+ – Salary $350 weekly; 10 weeks
The Assistant Camp Director assists the Camp Director in all phases of camp operations; maintain a safe, 
healthy and engaging environment for campers, staff and all program areas. She manages the Trading 
Post and supports all staff in their day to day duties and activities.

Health Supervisor, 21+ – Salary $400 weekly; 8 weeks
The Health Supervisor oversees the general health and safety of all campers and staff. She enforces
standard sanitary conditions in camp and ensure all campers and staff are well monitored and cared for 
if an illness or an injury occurs. She assists with all phases of camp life to maintain a well organized and 
safe environment to ensure the best quality of programs and camp experience for campers and staff.

Program Director, 21+– Salary $275 weekly; 10 weeks
The Program Director plans, maintains and improves the day to day program at camp including the Arts 
and Craft area. She assists with all phases of camp operations to maintain a well organized and safe 
environment to ensure the best quality of programming and camp experience for campers and staff.

CIT Director, 21+ - Salary $250 weekly, 10 weeks
The CIT Director assists each girl in the developing the skills necessary to work at camp. She develops 
with each CIT a progressive program in keeping with goals and objectives of Girl Scouts of Michigan 
Shore to Shore and GSUSA. She coordinates the CIT program with other programs, while working closely 
and collaborating with Unit Leaders.

Waterfront Director, 21+ – Salary $275 weekly; 10 weeks
The Waterfront Director organizes, directs, and coordinates the waterfront program, including supervising the 
lifeguards. She/he assists with all phases of camp life to maintain a well organized environment to ensure the 
best quality of programming and camp experience for campers and staff.

Kitchen Manager, 21+ – Salary $275 weekly; 10 weeks
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for accurate and efficient management of the kitchen, its staff and meal 
planning. She/he assists with all phases of camp life to maintain a well organized and safe environment to 
ensure the best quality of programs and camp experience for campers and staff.

Head Cook, 18+ - Salary $250 weekly; 10 weeks
The Head Cook shall prepare, cook and serve meals to campers, visitors, volunteers and staff in the 
dining hall as well as coordinate special activity meal planning and preparation such as picnics and pack
