Volunteer Application Process

So you're interested in becoming a Girl Scout volunteer? We're glad to hear it! And we've made it easy for you to submit a volunteer application...just follow the steps below.

Download a Volunteer Application Packet (below) and submit all documents in the packet.

Applications can be submitted electronically by e-mailing the writable or scanned forms to lwieck@gsmists.org. You can also mail the application and documents to the following address:

Once we've received your Volunteer Application Packet we will contact you for further steps:

  1. Interview by phone or in person by Volunteer Services Department (no formalities - this just helps us determine areas of interest and training needs)
  2. Appointment to volunteer position
  3. Brief orientation to Girl Scouting, available online, home study or in CD format
  4. Adult learning/training in person or through online and self-directed courses

Once placed in a volunteer assignment, volunteers are provided with continuing support from several sources.
