Our Properties

  Camps and Facilities

Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore has some of the most beautiful properties in the state!  Our council reaches 30 counties with many properties for outdoor opportunities for Girl Scouts.

You don't have to be a Girl Scout to camp!

Outside rentals are available at a variety of locations. Camp Anna Behren's Sherwood Lodge has been the host of many wedding receptions, birthday parties and other celebrations.

Availability of all properties is limited due to Girl Scout troop and programs receiving the first priority prior to any non-Girl Scout groups. Rentals for camp are available every day of the week.

GIRL SCOUT CAMPS

Camp Anna Behrens

Camp Anna Behrens (CAB) original campsite was located on Lake Michigan. This was a gift to the Girl Scouts in 1946, by Dr. Charles A. Behrens as a memorial to his mother and father, Anna and August Behrens. Anticipating the possible growth of Girl Scouting, Dr. Behrens generously provided for the sale of the 40 acre Lake Michigan property towards the purchase of a new larger site.

The 360 wooded acres at CAB provide the perfect setting for a variety of activities for enjoying the outdoors. The property borders the Flat River on its western side with a large lake that can be used for canoeing/kayaking, swimming, and fishing. There are two smaller lakes, marshes, and a pond that can be used for pond studies and frog counts. This camp also has multiple trails for hiking, a bird sanctuary, letterboxing course, two large game fields, three ceremonial areas and other outdoor program spaces.
