Barbara Hill brings many years of Girl Scout experience to Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore.
She most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio, which has 28,000 girl members and 12,000 adult volunteers. She has served in this role since 2015 when she returned from her role as the CEO of the Girl Scouts Overseas-West Pacific for five years. Earlier in her career, Barbara lived in Michigan and served as the CEO of the Girl Scouts of Mitten Bay for four years.
Barbara is currently serving on the GSUSA Convention Action Committee, as well as the United Way of Summit County’s Women United Steering Committee, serving as the Advocacy Chair. In addition, she has been a panelist at Western Case Reserve University in the Weatherhead School of Management and the NASA Glenn Research Center.
In experiences outside of Girl Scouts, Barbara served as the President/CEO for the Michigan Women’s Foundation, and as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement for Marygrove College. She has been a college trustee, adjunct faculty, board member, and a facilitator of national conferences.
