Event Description
Celebrate spring and take the Girl Scout Tree Promise with Friends
of Grand Rapids Parks.
This annual day of volunteering is a
community event, though GSMISTS is recruiting members to volunteer
during ArborFest's afternoon session. All Girl Scouts will earn and
receive the 2024 Tree Promise Patch for participating.
Food and snacks catered for participating volunteers, and all tree
planting supplies are provided by Friends of Grand Rapids Parks.
$2 registration cost covers earned Tree Promise patch.
Event Supervision
This is not a drop off event. Brownies and Juniors must
attend with a direct chaperone (1:1 ratio) per Program Partner
guidance. Cadettes+ must come in troop ratio. See Safety Activity
Checkpoints for more information. Girl Scouts attending individually
must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
The adult(s)
that are accompanying Girl Scout(s) at this event are required to
register for event.

Badge/Patch
Girl Scouts will receive the new 2024 Tree Promise
patch.
Food
Catered lunch provided.
Supplies
All tree planting supplies are provided by Friends of
Grand Rapids Parks.
Registration, Cancellation,
Refund, Transfer Info
Troops are encouraged to register for this event
together through the Troop Leader's MYGS account. This will help to
ensure troop participates together.
Girl Scouts not
registering as a troop or who are attending individually should
register for this event through their parent/guardian's MYGS
account.
Event confirmation/information such as zoom
links and venue location are e-mailed days prior to the event.
Events are first come first serve and are open until the
registration deadline or the event fills. GSMISTS is
unable to maintain waiting lists.
If the event is
cancelled by GSMISTS a 100% refund will be issued.
Event
registrations are non-refundable. In the event a girl/adult can no
longer attend the program, spaces may be swapped to another attendee.
