Event Description
Tree School was founded in 2013 to enrich and enhance science
understanding by and for students of all ages.
Visit the world
renowned production facility where giant redwoods and sequoias are
propagated or cloned in order to make the replicas available to people
around the globe to grow healthy forests to replace trees which have
burned, been over forested, or have been hit by disease
organisms.
Learn all about trees, habitats, DNA and hands-on how
to propagate trees so that you may plant trees and keep your tree
promise for a lifetime!
Event Supervision
This is not a drop off event. Troops must come in proper girl
to adult ratio. See Safety Activity Checkpoints for more information.
Girl Scouts attending individually must be accompanied by a
parent/guardian.
The adult(s) that are accompanying Girl
Scout(s) at this event are required to register for event.
Price

Supplies
GSMISTS Council Staff to attend. No supplies needed. There will
be standing and walking required during this hour long class. As
always, bring your own water bottle and stay hydrated. Wear clothing
that you don't mind getting dirty

Troops are encouraged to register for this event together
through the Troop Leader's MYGS account. This will help to ensure
troop participates together.
Girl Scouts not registering as a
troop or who are attending individually should register for this event
through their parent/guardian's MYGS account.
Event
confirmation/information such as zoom links and venue location are
e-mailed days prior to the event.
Events are first come
first serve and are open until the registration deadline or the
event fills. GSMISTS is unable to maintain waiting
lists.
If the event is cancelled by GSMISTS a 100% refund will
be issued.
