Event Description:
Join partners of the Lakeshore Museum Center through a 1.5 hour
guided tour of Downtown Muskegon. Walk through the historic district
of the city as you discover about the past and current uses of
historical buildings, the history of former Muskegonites, and see how
downtown has evolved today. At the end of the tour, participants will
have access to the Lakshore Museum of History and Science to discover
many of the permanent exhibits that are offered such as Coming to the
Lakes, Habitats, and Depths of Time.
Girl Scouts will
receive a unique fun patch.
Juniors, complete steps towards
earning Playing the Past Badge.
The tour is 1.5 hours
long and covers 1 mile on flat city sidewalks with minimal elevation
changes. The tour route is accessible for all mobility aids. There are
frequent stops along the tour and many stops have seating available.
Event Supervision:
This is NOT a drop off event. Troops must come in proper girl to adult ratio. See Safety Activity Checkpoints for more information. Girl Scouts attending individually must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Event registrations are non-refundable. In the event a girl/adult can no longer attend the program, spaces may be swapped to another attendee.
Events are first come first serve and are open until the registration deadline or the event fills. GSMISTS is unable to maintain waiting lists.
If this event is cancelled by GSMISTS a 100% refund will be issued.
Troops are encouraged to register for this event together through the Troop Leader's MYGS account.
Girl Scouts not registering as a troop or who are attending individually should register for this event through their parent/guardian's MYGS account.
