Event Description:
Mackinac Island Scout Service Program (MISSP) - Girl Scout Honor Troop 147 (MISSP) is a group of 7th through 12th grade girls selected for their commitment to service and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience by taking on tasks including flag ceremonies, guide duties, and service projects. We'll take the ferry over for a day trip that will include boat fare, state park pass, tour of Girl Scout Barracks, and more!
We will meet up at the ferry at 8:00am and begin our day on the
island by 9:00am when we will get to witness the first flag ceremony
of the day.
Troop 147 will march down the picturesque island hill in formation, an inspiring sight! From there we will attend the tour of Fort Mackinac with historic demonstrations.
We then break for lunch and meet back up at the scout barracks where we will be welcomed by Honor Troop 147. Designated members of the troop will talk with us about their experience and answer questions. From there, the council led portion of the day concludes and troops are free to explore Mackinac Island and visit the historic sites and museums included in the cost of the State Park Day Pass.
Participant Information
This is NOT a drop off event. Troops must come in proper girl to adult ratio. See Safety Activity Checkpoints for more information. Girl Scouts attending individually must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Price: $30/ girl

Event registration is not complete or guaranteed until Cookie Dough or Individual Girl Funds are applied. Cookie Dough or Individual Girl Funds are non-transferable to other girls or adults.
Only GSMISTS Cookie Dough or Individual Girl Funds are accepted for GSMISTS events.
Supplies:
Wear your Girl Scout Gear and walking shoes. Bring water bottle, sack lunch, snacks, windbreaker, poncho, umbrella, and backpack for carrying your own supplies and gear.
Registration, Cancellation, Refund, Transfer Info
Event registrations are non-refundable. In the event a girl/adult can no longer attend the program, spaces may be swapped to another attendee.
Events are first come first serve and are open until the registration deadline or the event fills. GSMISTS is unable to maintain waiting lists.
If this event is cancelled by GSMISTS a 100% refund will be issued.
Troops are encouraged to register for this event together through the Troop Leader's MYGS account.
Girl Scouts not registering as a troop or who are attending individually should register for this event through their parent/guardian's MYGS account.
