Event Registration

New to camping? Experience your first troop camping trip with support from your Girl Scout "PALS"!

This program is for troops who have never been to camp. GSMISTS staff and volunteers provide support, structure, and fun for this weekend so leaders can focus on enjoying the outdoors with their troops!

 

At least one (1) Troop Leader/attending adult must have completed Troop Camping Skills and be CPR/ First Aid trained to attend this event.

Troop Camping Skills and CPR/ 1st Aid training offered at OWLS on May 3, 2025- Registration will launch in the Spring of 2025. 

 

All adults attending must be registered Background checked members of Girl Scouts.

 

Please note the following group capacity of each cabin listed below. If your troop is larger than the listed capacity or requires additional adults please contact customercare@gsmists.org; we may be able to accomodate your group. 

 

 Brinkerts Troop House:  Capacity 12 each (intended for 2 adults and 10 girls)

Wege Yurt:  Capacity 12 each (intended for 2 adults and 10 girls)
Meijer Yurt: Capacity 12 each (intended for 2 adults and 10 girls)

White Pine:  Capacity 24 each (Intended for 4 adults and 20 girls) 

Lodgepole: Capacity 24 each (Intended for 4 adults and 20 girls) 

 

Groups less than the 12 may be paired with other GS members in cabins.

Event Supervision

This is not a drop off event. Troops must come in proper girl to adult ratio. See Safety Activity Checkpoints for more information. Girl Scouts attending must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian. 

 

The adult(s) that are accompanying Girl Scout (s) at this event are required to register for event.

 

Adults registering two cabins for their troop must have the appropriate girl:adult ratio staying in each cabin.  

 

Cookie Dough or individual Girl Funds Payments

To use Cookie Dough or Individual Girl Funds for Payment: Please contact Customer Care at customercare@gsmists.org. Event registration is not complete or guaranteed until Cookie Dough or Individual Girl Funds have been processed. Cookie Dough and Individual Girl Funds are non-transferable to other girls or adults. Only GSMISTS Cookie Dough or Individual Girl Funds are accepted for GSMISTS.

Registration, Cancellation, Refund, Transfer Info

Troops are encouraged to register for this event togethor through the Troop Leader's MYGS account. This will help to ensure troop participates togethor. 

Girl Scouts not registering as a troop or who are attending individually should register for this event through thier parent/ guardians MYGS account. 

 

Event confirmation/ information such as zoom links are e-mailed days prior to the event. 

 

Events are first come, first serve and are open until the registration deadline or event fills. GSMISTS is unable to maintain waiting lists. 

 

If the event is cancelled by GSMISTS a 100% refund will be issued.
