Event Description

Girl Scouts in grades 5-12 are invited to join GSMISTS for the 2025 Girl Scout Leadership Conference. Hundreds of Girl Scouts from across Michigan will come together and participate in small group mentoring and Q&A sessions to earn the Courage to Grow limited edition patch.

This program focuses on Girl Scouts meeting and collaborating with new girls from across our council, as well as learning from women mentors in leadership who make a difference and serve as important mentors to young people in our community.

New for the 2025 Girl Scout Leadership Conference:

  • A dynamic panel of incredible Women of Distinction who are all Girl Scout Alumnae.
    • Rather than one keynote speaker, we're elevating the experience with a dynamic panel of four incredible Women of Distinction-each a trailblazer in her field and each representing one of the four career tracks:
      • Arts & Media
      • Tech & Health
      • Business & Law
      • Community & Education
    • Moderated by the notable Maranda of WOODTV, this powerful panel is set to inspire, empower, and ignite curiosity.
    • Girl Scouts will hear firsthand about journeys of courage, confidence, and career discovery-and be inspired to embrace their "Courage to Grow" as they navigate their own paths and rise into leadership.
  • New women mentors representing a variety of fields and industries.

Attending adults will not participate in the mentor sessions. They will participate in programming developed intentionally to grow their own leadership abilities, including:

      • Two leadership development opportunities, facilitated by experts in their fields.
      • Peer to Peer Roundtable Learning Sessions
