Event Description:

 

Girl Scout Brownies and Juniors are invited to explore the science and history of aviation during this exciting hands-on experience. Young aviators experiment with the four forces of flight and learn about the dynamics of airplane flight while building take-home gliders.

 

Participant Information

 

This is NOT a drop off event. Troops must come in proper girl to adult ratio. Attending adults must be registered, background checked members of GSMISTS.  See Safety Activity Checkpoints for more information. Girl Scouts attending individually must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

 

*Note - due to overnight lodging at AirZoo, we are unable to accomodate male volunteers. 

 

Price: $87 per girl

            $67 per adult

Event registration is not complete or guaranteed until Dream Dollars or Individual Girl Funds are

applied. Dream Dollars or Individual Girl Funds are non-transferable to other girls or adults.

Only GSMISTS Dream Dollars or Individual Girl Funds are accepted for GSMISTS events.

 

Badge/Patch:

Custom event patch provided for all participants.

 

 

Food:

Dinner, an evening snack, and breakfast will be provided by the Kitty Hawk Café. The Kitty Hawk Café will provide a pizza and salad buffet for dinner, popcorn and cookies for an evening snack, and a pancake buffet for breakfast.

 

AirZoo can accomodate gluten gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives. Please indicate dietary restrictions or allergies when registering. 

 

Supplies:

Sleeping bags, toiletries, and other personal items must be brought by participants. Additional packing list sent to participants closer to event date. 

 

Registration, Cancellation, Refund, Transfer Info

Event registrations are non-refundable. In the event a girl/adult can no longer attend the program, spaces may be swapped to another attendee.

Events are first come first serve and are open until the registration deadline or the event fills. GSMISTS is unable to maintain waiting lists.

If this event is cancelled by GSMISTS a 100% refund will be issued.

Troops are encouraged to register for this event together through the Troop Leader's MYGS account.

Girl Scouts not registering as a troop or who are attending individually should register for this event through their parent/guardian's MYGS account.
