Event Description:
Interested in hosting a Day Camp for your Service Unit? Learn the
guidelines and best practices for hosting your own summer day camps.
This training is required for all first year SU Day Camp Directors and
those interested in becoming Day Camp Directors. Returning Day Camp
Directors are encouraged to attend.
GSMISTS staff and
volunteers will cover how to plan, organize, and run a safe and
successful camp. Learn how to recruit and train volunteers, budget,
and brainstorm with other volunteers for camp ideas and
opportunities!
Training is offered in person at the Grand Rapids
Service Center, and an online option to join via Teams is available as
well.
Additional information will be sent to participants as the
training gets closer.
Participant Information:
Participants may choose to attend in person or online. You will
receive more information about accessing event information in the
confirmation.

Supplies: High-speed internet and a smart device if attending virtually.

Event registrations are non-refundable. In the event a girl/adult can no longer attend the program, spaces may be swapped to another attendee.
Events are first come first serve and are open until the registration deadline or the event fills. GSMISTS is unable to maintain waiting lists.
If this event is cancelled by GSMISTS a 100% refund will be issued.
Troops are encouraged to register for this event together through the Troop Leader's MYGS account.
Girl Scouts not registering as a troop or who are attending individually should register for this event through their parent/guardian's MYGS account.
