Event Description
Join the GVSU Society of Women Engineers and discover the world of
engineering!
Daisies and Brownies will enjoy hands-on
stations taught by GVSU engineering students. Investigate civil
engineering and structural design by building a model bridge, design a
catapult with mechanical engineers, and learn how environmental
engineers can filter water!
Girl Scouts will be split into three groups to rotate through stations during this event.
Think Like an Engineer badges will be earned and received at the event.
For troops wishing to continue with a Take Action Project in order to complete the Think Like an Engineer Journey, those steps are optional and can be completed separately after the event. Take Action badges must be purchased separately if your Girl Scout(s) wish to complete the Journey.
Cost:
$10 per girl
Chaperoning adutls free
This is NOT a drop off event. Troops must come in proper girl to adult ratio
Please do not register more adults than necessary.
Registrations exceeding the adult-to-Girl Scout ratio may be subject to cancellation based on venue capacity restrictions.
Individually Registered Girl Scouts must attend with a chaperoning parent/guardian.

If this event is cancelled by GSMISTS a 100% refund will be issued
Event registrations are non-refundable. In the event a girl/adult can no longer attend the program, spaces may be swapped to another attendee.
Events are first come first serve and are open until the registration deadline or the event fills. GSMISTS is unable to maintain waiting lists.
