Event Description
Michigan Ballet Academy (MBA) proudly presents the magical holiday classic, The Nutcracker, featuring MBA students and MBA's resident professional ballet company Deos Contemporary Ballet. Watch toys come alive, snowflakes dance, and a fierce battle between mice and soldiers! This professional production will have kids of all ages wide-eyed with wonder. Enjoy a charming performance set to the wonderful music of Tchaikovsky at affordable prices for the entire family. Whether a holiday tradition or first-time discovery, The Nutcracker is a gift every family will love.

Receive a dance fun patch by attending any of the 2025 performances:
- Friday, December 19th at 7:00 PM
- Saturday, December 20th at 1:00 PM or 4:30 PM
- or Sunday December 21st at 2:30 PM
The Nutcracker Boutique will be open 45 minutes before each performance, with the first 15 minutes exclusively for Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts can also enjoy taking photographs with dancers in costume after each performance.
Girl Scouts and their families are also welcome to attend the Clara and Friends Tea Party on Sunday, December 21st at 1:00 PM at the East Grand Rapids High School Cafeteria. Tickets for the tea party are $25 each and are sold separately from the performance tickets at www.michiganballet.org. Enjoy a delicious lunch, ballet-themed desserts, craft activity, goody bags, door prizes, photos with the characters, and a lively reading of The Nutcracker story!
Event Supervision
This is not a drop off event. Troops must come in proper girl to adult ratio. See Safety Activity Checkpoints for more information. Girl Scouts attending individually must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
