Event Description

Become a potter as Girl Scouts learn how to make a handmade clay mug. Our partner, Art By Mary Case Gallery & Studio, will lead a guided demonstration and assist Girl Scouts throughout the process.

Art By Mary Case Gallery & Studio Event Description:
You will start with a slab of clay (pre-cut to size). You will add fun textures and designs with our stamps and rollers. Your clay slab will quickly become a mug by attaching a bottom and a handle and adding any other cool design elements you may like!

This project is for all ages! We will do a full demonstration and provide all the help you need. When completed, you select your favorite color from a variety of glazes. We will fire, dip your mug in glaze and refire in our kilns. When completed, you will get your mug back (in a few weeks). Your mug will be a treasure that is food safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Your mug will be a true keepsake made in an authentic art studio all by your hands!

GSMISTS staff will collect the completed projects and distribute them after the event's conclusion. This process may take several weeks.
