Event Description
Enjoy the outdoors as you join Dune Harbor Park staff on a guided hike to explore the park and observe the insects that thrive at the dunes. You are sure to see some of their favorite bugs, the Monarch Caterpillar!
*Use magnifying glasses to gain an up close look from a safe distance!
*Play bug bingo
*Make a bug box out of recycled materials
*Learn about litter bugs and why they bug us!
Come explore, play, and get a little buggy.
This program offers the opportunity to earn your Brownies Bugs Badge.
Girl Scout registration includes snack, magnifying glass, and bug guide.
Tagalong registration includes snack and magnifying glass.
Event Supervision
This is NOT a drop off event. Troops must come in proper girl to adult ratio
Please do not register more adults than necessary.
Registrations exceeding the adult-to-Girl Scout ratio may be subject to cancellation based on venue capacity restrictions.
Individually Registered Girl Scouts must attend with a chaperoning parent/guardian.

Badge: Badges can be purchased with registration. Badges will be shipped after the event.
Brownies - Bugs Badge
*1st graders rising to Brownies may select the Brownie Bugs badge.
Food: Granola Bars, Oranges, Gatorade
Supplies: Here's what to bring: hat, closed toe- shoes, sunscreen, and bugspray, water bottle.
Optional: clear plastic Juice container are welcomed for the bug craft- don't worry, extras will be available!
Registration, Cancellation, Refund, Transfer Info
Please note that this event is subject to cancellation if the minimum registration requirement is not met.
If this event is cancelled by GSMISTS a 100% refund will be issued
Event registrations are non-refundable. In the event a girl/adult can no longer attend the program, spaces may be swapped to another attendee.
Events are first come first serve and are open until the registration deadline or the event fills. GSMISTS is unable to maintain waiting lists.
